The most frequent PS4 repairs are listed below, along with solutions:
TV not receiving a signal. Check your HDMI cable first if you see a no signal notice on your TV when your console is connected. Make sure the TV and game console are both securely plugged in. If so, you may have a defective HDMI port or perhaps a flawed HDMI encoder chip (this is the chip on the motherboard that processes the HDMI signal). Even consoles that have been struck by lightning can be repaired.
Roaches. Yes, just like the PS4 Pro and the original console, the PS4 Slim is susceptible to cockroach infestation. Insects can build their homes in the dark and warmth of the device's power supply, which gets quite warm inside. Unfortunately, Sony won't fix consoles that have bugs on them, even if they are still covered by warranty.
Want to repair your PS4? Sage Gaming Enterprise is a great choice.
Blu-ray drive or disc drive. Although the rollers getting out of place was a much worse issue with the previous PS4, it still occurs with the PS4 Slim. Especially if you quickly remove the discs, have young children who insert objects into the disc drive, or live in an unclean, dusty environment. Another issue with these consoles' optical drives is that the laser lens can deteriorate and stop reading discs.
Overheating. The majority of the time, concerns about the PS4 overheating have been greatly exaggerated. These consoles have a sufficient cooling system, allowing for hours of trouble-free gaming. Many people believe that their PS4 is overheating if the fan is running hard and louder during particular games, however this is untrue. It's totally usual for fans to run louder, quicker, and higher when a device is cooling. If you actually have an overheating issue, the console will shut off and display an overheating error message. Overheating is typically brought on either a faulty fan or a heat sink that is blocked and preventing airflow.
Turns on, then pulls back. Unfortunately, the PS4 Slim still has issues with the Blue Light of Death, Pulsing Blue Light, etc. that plagued the original PS4. Your console probably has defective solder connections under the APU on the motherboard if it keeps going off after you switch it on or only has a pulsing blue light on the power button. The bad news is that there is frequently no effective solution to this issue. This issue can occasionally, but not always, be resolved by reballing the APU (heating it, pulling it off the motherboard, and melting new solder balls to it before melting it onto the motherboard). Reballing is not a good alternative for most people because, unless you have a lot of experience doing it, it is exceedingly tough; even most repair businesses, like Sage Gaming, do not fix this issue.
